Targeted support for Port of Tyne’s Clean Energy Park

The UK Government has named the Marine Management Organisation as the Lead Environmental Regulator for the Port of Tyne’s £175 million Clean Energy Park, streamlining planning and environmental approvals. The project will redevelop a 230-acre site on the River Tyne into a major offshore wind hub, creating up to 12,000 jobs and contributing more than £5.6 billion to the economy while supporting Britain’s clean energy ambitions and protecting the environment.
