The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority board of directors is pleased to announce Bruce Chan has been appointed the new chair, effective June 21, 2026, for a term ending May 13, 2028.
Chan replaces former board chair Catherine McLay, whose nine-year term on the port authority board finished on June 20, 2026. McLay served as board chair since July 2023.

The Governor in Council, at the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, has also appointed two new members to the board of directors: Adam Legge and Pam Schwann have both been appointed for three-year terms commencing June 11, 2026.
The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority’s board of directors is composed of 11 members: eight federal appointees; one member appointed by the 16 municipalities that border the port authority’s jurisdiction; one B.C. provincial appointee; and one appointee for the Prairie provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
