DP World has confirmed a five-year concession extension to continue operating the B5 container berth at Thailand’s Laem Chabang Port through its joint venture, Laem Chabang International Terminal Co., Ltd. (LCIT). LCIT operates the B5 and C3 berths at Laem Chabang. In 2025, LCIT processed 1.936 million TEUs – the facility’s highest annual throughput to date.

The agreement, awarded by the Port Authority of Thailand (PAT), will run from May 2026 to April 2031 and comes amid growing intra-Asian trade volumes and shifting regional supply chain patterns.
The facilities provide 900 meters of berth length, allowing up to four vessels to berth simultaneously, alongside 4,420 square meters of on-dock container freight station capacity.

Additional equipment upgrades are scheduled for 2026, including more eITVs, electric reach stackers and an electric empty container handler as operators continue to focus on emissions reductions and operational efficiency across terminal assets.
