Lomé Container Terminal (LCT) in Togo is about to take delivery of two Konecranes SMV 4632 TC5 reach stackers and seven Konecranes SMV 7/8 ECC90 empty container handlers to support expansion plans and increasing operational demands. This delivery is scheduled for Q2 2026 and further strengthens the long-term partnership between the two companies.
One of West Africa’s most important logistics gateways, Lomé Container Terminal handles significant volumes of regional and transshipment cargo. The terminal already operates a substantial Konecranes fleet, including 32 Konecranes RTGs powered via electric busbars and auxiliary generators.

The two new Konecranes SMV 4632 TC5 reach stackers will be used for container handling operations across the yard, while the seven Konecranes SMV 7/8 ECC90 empty container handlers will support efficient stacking and repositioning of empty containers. The equipment will be supplied with the support of Konecranes’ regional distributor Paterson Simons, which provides sales and after-sales support for lifting equipment across West and Central Africa.
The two reach stackers and seven empty container handlers will replace older Konecranes lift trucks in LCT’s fleet. The new lift trucks combine high performance with strong safety and ergonomic standards, ensuring a comfortable and efficient operator environment. They are also equipped with TRUCONNECT® Remote Monitoring, providing real‑time insights to support preventative maintenance and maximize equipment uptime. Together with Konecranes’ reliable global service network and regional support, the updated fleet strengthens LCT’s ability to maintain smooth, uninterrupted operations as cargo volumes grow.

The Togo terminal opened in 2014 and began working with Konecranes that same year, establishing a relationship that has continued to develop as LCT’s equipment fleet has grown.
