A.P. Moller-Maersk (Maersk) has issued an update on the East Asia typhoon season and its impact on supply chains, following an earlier customer advisory published a few weeks back.
The carrier said operational conditions remained challenging, though gradual improvements in port performance and vessel flows were being observed as recovery efforts continue.

Together with terminal partners, Maersk is implementing a staged set of measures to manage cargo flows and improve terminal fluidity, with the effectiveness of those measures being continually assessed as conditions evolve.
Maersk said it was also monitoring meteorological developments closely, with current information indicating a further typhoon could develop during week 39 (21–27 September). The company said it continues to work with port operators to mitigate any potential impact on customers.
The carrier is also engaging directly with affected customers to discuss available solutions, with Maersk representatives in contact regarding the most suitable options for their cargo.
Through its PRISM Delivery Guarantee, Maersk said it applies network flexibility, alternative routings and priority operational handling to help ensure containers are delivered within their committed delivery window.
Beyond PRISM, the carrier said it could assist with air freight and inland transportation alternatives for time-sensitive shipments, as well as flexible depot storage and warehousing services.
