Port of Keelung achieves record-breaking performance in 2025

Port of Keelung, the Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC) subsidiary responsible for the three commercial ports of Keelung, Taipei, and Suao, returned exceptional operational performance results in 2025. Moreover, all indicators show the subsidiary on course to meet this year’s goals and realize steady growth going forward. Notably, the respective 143.36 million RT and 3.06 million TEU in handled cargo and container volumes, 1.11 million passengers handled, and NT$5.635 billion in operational revenues reported by Port of Keelung in 2025 all represent historic new highs.In terms of shipping, Port of Keelung-operated container yards continue to demonstrate resilient competitiveness, with the 594,000 TEU handled in 2025 marking not only a 21% increase over 2024 but also a new all-time high. Also, the robust rise in e-commerce flows continues to benefit Taipei Port’s sea express business in particular, with 265 million kg in e-commerce goods handled in 2025. Notably, the recent launch of the first sea-express handling centre at Keelung Port is helping optimise port facility utilisation while strategically diversifying the port’s business portfolio.
