Data Shows shore power system reducing tons of air pollutants

After more than five months of operation, the Port of San Diego's shore power system is helping clear the air around San Diego Bay. The latest results show that 22 tons of pollutants and 448 tons of greenhouse gases have been reduced since the shore power system went online in November 2010, according to data compiled by the Port's environmental consultant, Environ.
